Services at St Alfege and times of opening

Information about the weekly services can be found outside the West Door (the end furthest from the road, under the Tower). Normally, our services are as follows:

Sung Eucharist (liturgy: Common Worship, Order 1 traditional language)

Weekdays
(with effect from 5 July 2010)
Tuesday (8.30am Morning Prayer, 5.30pm Evening Prayer); Wednesday (8.30am Morning Prayer, 5.30pm Evening Prayer); Thursday (8.00am Holy Communion, 5.30pm Evening Prayer); Saturday (9.30am Morning Prayer).

No daily services between Sunday 8 August and Monday 23 August 2010. No 8.00am Communion service nor choral evensong during August.

The Church Office is open Monday-Tuesday, Thursday-Friday 9.30am-4.00pm. Telephone: 020 8853 0687

Visitors are welcome to come in quietly during Sunday services, and there are hand-held boards with a history of the Church in 17 languages. There is disabled access but we request that wheelchair users are accompanied. The church also has an induction loop system. The programme of services may alter sometimes, eg at Christmas and other Festivals. In August there is only one service a week, on Sundays at 10.00am.
